Senior Apartments & Independent Living Communities

When you or a loved one is ready to think about moving into a senior living community, it doesn’t have to be an overwhelming decision that limits independence. In fact, it might be the change you are looking for with more freedom.

Many home ownership tasks that were once enjoyable, eventually become daunting and difficult to complete. Leaving the chores behind is just one of the many reasons to consider Independent Living. Our senior communities give you the privacy and autonomy of living in your own space without the hassle of home maintenance, lawn care, snow removal, or driving long distances for errands. We have a wide variety of enjoyable activities.

Our communities are just that – a group of people living in the same place with a sense of fellowship. We provide the environment; you provide the friendships. We provide the activities; you provide the engagement. Many of our Independent Living communities have on-site amenities like fitness centers, game rooms, libraries and gardens so you can maintain your hobbies – or even pursue a new one. We also provide free transportation to local grocery stores, restaurants, health care facilities, and community events.

We have a variety of housing options from senior apartments to ranch-style homes and cottages with locations in the Madison and Milwaukee areas.

      Commonly Asked Questions

What services are excluded from Independent Living communities?

While our Senior Independent Living communities offer a lot of benefits, they may not be right for everyone. Medical services are not included in the price of Independent Living, nor assistance with daily living activities. While some communities offer the convenience of staying in your Independent Living apartment as your needs change, others require you to move into a unit or community with access to supportive services. Every community is different, and Capri offers many options to meet your needs.

What costs are associated with Independent Living?

Residents living in our Senior Independent Living communities pay rent that may include utilities, social activities, transportation, and maintenance services. Add-on costs may include linen, laundry, meals, and supportive/medical services. Long-term care insurance and healthcare Medicaid funding does not cover the cost of independent living rent, so you or your loved ones would pay from personal funding sources.
