Leadership

“I believe what we have created at Capri Communities is truly exceptional. Not only am I proud to lead a management team gifted with the experience and vision to guide this organization forward, but also a family of employees at every level committed to enriching the lives of our residents and our communities.”
JIM TARANTINO, FOUNDER AND PRINCIPAL

James Tarantino

Founder and Principal

Taking care of people is just something Jim Tarantino grew up with. Born to a large extended Italian family in Milwaukee, Jim was always surrounded by aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives who not only enjoyed spending time together, they looked out for each other—especially as those loved ones grew older. It’s just what families did—at least, families like Jim’s. It was a lesson that always remained with him. After studying architecture at the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee, Jim found his calling assisting larger “families” of sorts, working for a series of non-profit community development organizations. In particular, Jim was determined to create new ways to provide affordable housing for seniors and those dealing with mental health issues. In time, this led Jim to start his own property management company focused on developing and providing vibrant communities for seniors and persons with disabilities across the wide spectrum of care needs. Today, the Tarantino family of companies, including Capri Communities, is proud to help residents lead lives of meaning and purpose at premier-quality communities across southeastern Wisconsin.
