Why Volunteer?

“I was the Assistant Executive Director at Summit Woods. When I retired, I wanted to stay in touch with the residents. Volunteering there helped me keep in touch, meet new residents, assist with activities like the bean auction, and travel with them to places like Scoop deVille, historic Greendale, and the Shedd Aquarium. Volunteering is a great way to ‘Enjoy Life’ by sharing these experiences.”

Volunteer Opportunities

Programs

Assist residents with activities such as bingo, trivia, card games, crafts and other engaging activities. Work alongside care staff and help direct residents under the instruction of the Lifestyle Enrichment employee. Chat with residents about their day or the activity they are doing.

Entertainment

Do you have a special musical talent? We’re looking for musicians such as singers, guitar players, piano players and performers of other instruments. Come share your talents with our residents—our audience will love it!

Decorations

Put your eye for design to good use! As the seasons change, so do decorations throughout our communities. Assist us with changing out our season décor inside and outside of our communities.
