This year, 2026, the Wisconsin State Fair is celebrating 175 Years of history … 175 years of special memories! In honor of this milestone anniversary, Capri Communities and the Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation are sponsoring a Golden Memories Contest where adults 60+ can win priceless Wisconsin State Fair prizes simply by sharing your favorite Wisconsin State Fair memories.

The Golden Memories Contest is a tribute to people who have helped make the Wisconsin State Fair what it is today. If you or a loved one are 60+, all you need to do is record a short video telling us about one of your most cherished State Fair Memories. No fancy equipment required, your cell phone will do the trick. Maybe your Golden Memory was:

• Your first date at State Fair
• A family tradition that has lasted decades
• The time you ate 20 Cream Puffs in one day
• A treasure hunt for Sporkies
• Showing your prized horse, cow, pig or rabbit
• Winning a blue ribbon for best cherry pie
• Or simply a State Fair moment with friends and family that makes you smile

Whatever your story is, we want to hear about it! Your memories are part of Wisconsin’s story. By sharing them, you are helping preserve the heart and history of the Wisconsin State Fair for future generations. Plus, your video could be featured on Monday, August 10 – Senior Day at the Wisconsin State Fair presented by Capri Communities!

And, while videos are encouraged, we will also accept hand written Wisconsin State Fair memories that can be shared on the entry form and considered for inclusion in the Golden Memories Contest.
