    Chad Murphy

    Executive Director

Chad is one of those guys you just know will try about anything and have a little fun along the way. He’s been known to don a Santa suit and get into character whatever the event or occasion calls for. Prior to joining Capri, Chad had a successful career in food services and in retail business, however, Chad says that this was the role that he was meant to do – he just didn’t know it until he accepted the role over seven years ago. During his tenure Chad has transitioned successfully into overseeing both assisted living and memory care services on the campus. Strong-willed with a laid-back style, Chad’s number one focus is committing to the right thing for residents and staff. As a child, Chad’s dream was to be a baseball player. His passion for baseball is now shared with his son’s and coaching their teams. Before he meets the Maker, his bucket list is to visit all major league baseball stadiums.

    Shantel Boss

    Assistant Executive Director

Shantel is dedicated to enriching residents’ lives and fostering meaningful connections within the community. She joined Mulberry Campus as a caregiver and never envisioned herself in a leadership position. However, fueled by her aspirations to contribute more to her team, she transitioned to the role of Dietary Manager before eventually assuming her current role as Assistant Executive Director, a position she has held since 2022.

She draws inspiration from her best friend, who serves as a source of wisdom and guidance in her life. Shantel is known for her sweet, fun-loving nature and brings excellent communication, positivity, and organizational skills to her role. With a focus on continual improvement, she aims to deepen her relationships with residents, families and her team. Her motto – “Image is one thing and the human being is another… it’s very hard to live up to an image.” Elvis Presley – emphasizes authenticity and staying true to herself.

When she’s not working, Shantel enjoys life by raising her son to be the best he can be, spending time with family and friends, embarking on DIY projects and perusing flea markets. She fuels her outgoing, positive energy by indulging in coffee all day!

Shantel’s resilience and determination serve as inspiration as she encourages residents to persevere in the face of challenges.

    Andrew Olson

    Lifestyle Enrichment Coordinator

Meet Andrew, our passionate Lifestyle Enrichment Coordinator. One of Andrew’s greatest prides is witnessing the joy on residents’ faces as they engage in his planned activities. And his favorite moments are when residents surprise themselves by accomplishing things they once believed were beyond their capabilities. In his childhood, he dreamt of becoming a police officer, but life took him on a different, fulfilling path. Though Andrew never envisioned himself in this role initially, he fell in love with the unique experience of working with older generations. On Sunday mornings, you’ll likely find Andrew sipping on a cup of coffee with a cat in his lap, enjoying a peaceful moment. He aspires to be remembered as a perpetually happy person. Always wearing a smile, Andrew believes in spreading positivity and finding happiness in every situation. Reflecting on the valuable lessons learned from residents, he emphasizes the importance of kindness and discourages comparing yourself to others. Andrew points out that everyone is fighting their own battle, but carrying a compassionate mindset can make a world of difference.

    Erin Miller

    Licensed Practical Nurse

Erin is a compassionate and dedicated nurse committed to the well-being of Mulberry Campus residents. With a background rooted in a genuine desire to serve others, she takes immense pride in being a trusted confidant for residents, addressing their physical, mental and emotional health needs with caring and understanding.

From childhood, Erin always envisioned herself as a nurse (or a veterinarian!). She initially embarked on her journey into nursing when she joined her prior workplace as an LPN. When an opportunity arose to step into her current role as Nurse Manager, she seized it, driven by her passion for resident care. Despite facing challenges along the way, Erin persisted and eventually found herself fulfilling her dream role.

Erin enjoys life by spending quality time with her family, savoring moments over dinner outings, embarking on hiking adventures or camping amidst nature’s beauty. She is passionate about dog rescues, having rescued many furry friends herself.

When asked what she wants people to remember her by, Erin hopes to be seen as someone who can be confided in and who can empathize with others’ perspectives. Her ultimate goal is to ensure the health and happiness of residents while continuing to make a positive impact in the lives of those around her.

    Gina Crown

    Memory Care Coordinator

Gina’s journey in caregiving began at the age of 16 in a long-term care community in Northbrook, IL, where her passion for helping others ignited. Since then, she’s devoted her career to making a difference in the lives of older adults and their families. Gina joined Mulberry Campus in 2014 and has continually demonstrated her dedication and compassion.

In her current role as Memory Care Coordinator, a position she assumed in 2023, Gina plays a pivotal role in bringing calm, peace and joy to residents and families. Her genuine interest in understanding and working with older adults with memory loss led her to pursue specialized education, including various techniques like aromatherapy and hand massage and a Blu Grotto Certification. She is also on track to receive a Dementia Specialist Certificate. Her commitment and excellence in caregiving was recognized when she received a Wisconsin Assisted Living Association Hero Award in 2020.

Beyond her professional achievements, Gina finds joy in her family life. With four children and soon-to-be three granddaughters, family remains at the heart of her happiness.
