Affordable Independent Living

Hedwig House offers subsidized Independent Living and affordable housing for seniors. Located in the heart of Milwaukee’s East Side near the corner of Humboldt and Brady Streets, Hedwig House has become a warm and comfortable home for the many residents who enjoy the character of the building and proximity to the neighborhoods they know and love.

Our convenient Milwaukee location offers easy access to supermarkets, medical services, churches, and restaurants. Hedwig House subsidized senior housing complex is within walking distance to Brady Street, grocery stores, and pharmacies.

Residents of Hedwig House must be at least 62 years of age and are required to meet certain income restrictions as required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Qualifying residents will only be required to pay 30% of their gross adjusted income as their monthly rent charge.
