Tyler Palzkill

Executive Director

Smart, sophisticated and well-rounded is what comes to mind when you first meet Tyler. A direct and passionate leader, Tyler knew leading St. Rita Square was his calling. Why? The urban setting, dynamic feel, and high-end and high-quality execution of this state-of-the-art community spoke to him. Truth be told, this wasn’t his original plan. As a lifelong Packers fan, when he was growing up he found joy in the rules and details of NFL football – and in fact, saw that as a potential career! If energy and communication could be bottled, you’d find it in Tyler. He is a self-proclaimed coffee junkie who starts and ends each day checking the news and stockmarket and responding to emails. What he enjoys: spending days on the lake and dreaming about training for a marathon. What he doesn’t enjoy: people who don’t use their blinker when turning, and those who don’t wash their dishes after they eat.

Samantha Klukas

Assistant Executive Director

Samantha is a compassionate and resilient individual who takes pride in her role within the community. With a background in healthcare, she has always seen herself progressing in the field. A typical day for Samantha involves building relationships with staff and residents while working behind the scenes to ensure the best experiences for everyone. Samantha wants to be remembered not only for the good she has done but also for the potential good she could have achieved. Empathy and genuine intentions are the best skills she brings to her job.

When not at work you can find her spending time with her children and creating new memories, doing outdoor activities and catching up with friends over coffee. One thing you may not know about Samantha is she loves to dip anything and everything in chocolate. Her personal motto is “It’s all about the approach,” emphasizing the importance of genuine communication. If she could share one thing that her residents have taught her, it would be the value of patience and understanding, which she has learned through being a mother and interacting with residents who remind her of our shared humanity.

Julie Gey

Community Relations Manager

Julie brings over 15 years of experience working with seniors to her role as Community Relations Manager at St. Rita Square. Julie prides herself in helping families and making a difference in the lives of others. She is inspired by her son, who despite having health challenges, tries hard every-day. It was caring for her son that made her realize that she was being called to a profession to help others. Julie hopes people remember her as a trustworthy friend with a great sense of humor and a love for life. When Julie isn’t at St. Rita Square you can find her spending time with her family, traveling and being outdoors by a bonfire listening to music. She can also be found whipping up her signature dish of chicken marsala! Julie is grateful for the life lessons that she learns from her residents. One of those lessons is that no matter how tough things may seem, always move forward with a smile and you’ll make someone’s day brighter!

Abby Syverson

Lifestyle Enrichment Coordinator

Abby’s personal motto is, “If you can’t find the sunshine, be the sunshine.” In fact, being the sunshine is what Abby loves most about her job as Lifestyle Enrichment Coordinator. The favorite part of her job is planning fun activities that bring smiles to her residents’ faces. She also cherishes listening to their life stories. In a typical day you can find Abby leading a morning exercise class, holding an art hour, running a bingo class or leading a trivia contest. No day is ever the same for Abby and she wouldn’t have it any other way. She leaves each day with a smile on her face and excited for the prospect of what fun the next day will bring for her and the residents.

In her free time Abby enjoys hiking, shopping, watching movies and playing card and board games with friends and family.
