Cathie Temple Grows a Family at Summit WoodsManager Cathie Temple regards her residents as a large extended family and focuses on making Summit Woods the best home they’ve ever had.
While working as a property manager for several years before coming to Summit Woods, Cathie found herself volunteering at nursing homes because she enjoyed the company of seniors. When she learned that Summit Woods needed a manager, she knew she had found her dream job. “I love coming to work. Our residents treat one another like family and I get to be a part of that,” she says.
Cathie’s interests include raising her teenage children, quilting, reading, and cooking.
Every week Cathie’s love for cooking is shared with residents as she hosts a special luncheon, with the help of her assistant Gloria. With this spirit of generosity, Cathie lives out the Capri Senior Communities Mission of providing quality, caring management services and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
In addition to her weekly luncheons, Cathie works with her Activities Coordinator, Gloria, to provide regular social opportunities for residents. From card games to special shopping trips, residents have daily options for socializing with their Summit Woods family and the Waukesha community. Cathie has even organized a “Safe Halloween” event in which children come to Summit Woods in adorable costumes and visit resident apartments to get delicious treats. “When you live at Summit Woods, there’s no place like home,” Cathie says.
