Now Introducing the Executive Director, Andy Lange!

Capri Communities is proud to announce that Andy Lange will be the new Executive Director of Casa del Maré Assisted Living and Memory Care!  As Executive Director, Andy looks forward to getting to know the new residents of Casa del Maré and is excited to help everyone get settled into their new home.  “I will try to make each resident feel at home and put great effort into learning what is important to each resident in order to make sure Casa del Maré is capable of providing a service that continually meets their needs,” Andy states. 

Andy is joining the Casa del Maré team from the Engel Haus at the Gables of Germantown, another Capri Community.  As the Executive Director of the Engel Haus, Andy recognized the importance of creating a strong relationship with residents and their families. “Establishing honest, clear, and open communication with families and residents is important in developing strong relationships. Developing a partnership with families, seniors, and the other members of their care continuum is important to maximizing their quality of life,” Andy states. 

Growing up on Milwaukee’s South Side, Andy spent much of his childhood participating in athletics and spending time with friends and family. He then went on to achieve a Bachelor’s of Science in Healthcare Administration from UW-Milwaukee and a Master’s in Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch and currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Healthcare Administration Program at UW-Milwaukee.  Andy has served in various capacities within the long-term care industry for the past 9 years. He has managed a skilled nursing facility, Independent Living Homes, RCAC and CBRF communities. 

Andy takes pride in being a hands-on leader and works hard to be very responsive to the staff’s challenges and ideas. " I feel my approach to operations regularly takes into account the impact decisions have on staff and their ability to come to work everyday with less stress. Making decisions that help create this environment results in our residents receiving the best our staff have to offer,” Andy states.

When Andy is not spending time at Casa del Maré, he enjoys working on personal fitness, community outreach, cooking, biking and reading. He is also regularly involved in community events such as volunteer work, charitable events, and supporting local farmer’s markets.
