Summit Woods Celebrates 25 Years of Serving Seniors
August 18, 2016 - Summit Woods, an independent and assisted living community in Waukesha, is celebrating 25 years of service and dedication to the senior population. Since the first residents called Summit Woods "home" in 1991, it has supported the active and individual lifestyle of its many residents. Two of the original residents still reside in the community and will be honored at a special anniversary reception this month.
"Summit Woods was one of the first senior-oriented developments that facilitated an active retirement lifestyle with services and programming areas. Not to mention the first development for Capri Senior Communities," said Jim Tarantino, president of Capri Senior Communities and developer of Summit Woods. "The Summit Woods community is thankful for the many residents and families that have contributed to it being a vital and caring community."
"With ever-changing senior living housing options, we seek ways to improve the lives of our residents," said Ashley Ziegelbauer, Executive Director of Summit Woods. "When we introduced assisted living services in 2012, our residents and their loved ones were thankful to know should they need assistance they could stay in their own apartment within the community that they have come to know and love. It's just one of the many ways Summit Woods has adapted to meet the needs of the changing senior population."
Summit Woods, owned and operated by Capri Senior Communities, offers one and two bedroom independent and assisted living apartment homes to seniors aged 55 and better. With a full social calendar and plenty of amenities, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
