Over $20,000 Raised for Alzheimer's Association
Bay View, WI (September 3) - Capri Senior Communities along with the Avalon Theater in Bay View hosted A Night for Remembering on Thursday, September 3rd. The event benefited the Alzheimer's Association of Southeastern Wisconsin and the Walk to End Alzheimer's.
As many as 5.3 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's disease and millions more are faced with the financial challenges of caring for a loved one with the disease. If current trends continue, Alzheimer's will bankrupt families, communities, and our healthcare system. The mission of the Alzheimer's Association is to provide and enhance care and support for those with Alzheimer's disease and their families.
A Night for Remembering included a viewing of artwork created by local seniors with Alzheimer's disease from the Memories in the Making® program, an exclusive wine tasting, and a screening of I'll Be Me, Glen Campbell's documentary about his struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
Through generous donations from sponsors, A Night for Remembering was able to raise over $20,000, after ticket sales were included, bringing Team Capri's Walk to End Alzheimer's fundraising total to over $40,000. Sponsors of A Night for Remembering include Catalyst Construction at the Platinum Level; CBRE, Health Direct Pharmacy Services, Home Care Assistance, PD&C, TCF Bank, and Venture Construction Group at the Gold Level; and AG Architecture, Allay Hospice, Anchor Bank, Bluestone Physician Services, ClearPath, Crisis Prevention Institute, Direct Supply, iN2L, JNL Technologies, Lancaster Pollard, Lessila Physical Therapy, OnShift, PRP Wine International, R&R Insurance, R.A.
