Chad Murphy

Chad Murphy

Executive DirectorEmail: cmurphy@capricommunities.comChad's warm personality and "can-do" attitude makes him the right fit for this exceptional senior living community!
Chad joined us from the retail industry, where he always looked forward to seeing his repeat senior customers. "My favorite part about working in the retail industry was interacting with our customers and helping them find what they need," Chad explained. Chad has put those excellent customer service skills to good use at Mulberry Glen. "I have breakfast on Monday mornings with the residents and listen to their stories from when they were growing up and raising families. One gentleman was telling me about how he used to take boats from the Midwest out to California and Florida for the Navy and how he had to drive down into Mexico because California would not let him drive his extremely large trucks through the state."
The common areas of Mulberry Glen are always filled with laughter, friendly stories and kind words. Chad's compassion only adds to this already cheerful community. Chad takes every resident concern very serious. "This is their home and I am here to make sure everything gets taken care of," Chad explained. The team members at Mulberry Glen share the same philosophy: They listen to the residents and respond quickly to whatever is presented to them.
Although Chad and his family moved around throughout his childhood, Chad finally decided to settle down in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, located just northwest of the city of Whitewater. When Chad is not having fun with the residents of Mulberry Glen, he is most likely spending time with his wife and their three sons: Jacob, Luke and Samuel. Chad is also a Little League Coach and enjoys baseball and football.

Gina Crown

Lifestyle Enrichment Specialist, Employee Committee RepresentativeEmail: gcrown@capricommunities.comGina started at Mulberry Campus as a care team lead in August 2014 before transitioning to the Activity Coordinator role. "The GROW program is so important in our communities," said Gina. "The activities help residents socialize, keep their bodies and minds active, and enriches their day. The laughter they share is priceless." "Give Thanks!" is her favorite themed month as she shares with her residents ways to count their blessings and ways to be thankful.
Residents of Mulberry Glen and Glenwood enjoy getting together for parties, happy hour, Wheel of Fortune, and games. "It warms my heart when someone shares a prize they won with someone who did not," said Gina.

Jenny Spohn

Assistant Executive DirectorEmail: jspohn@capricommunities.comJenny has been the Assistant Executive Director at Mulberry Glen and Glenwood at Mulberry since September 2014. She enjoys working at the Mulberry Campus because of the residents and staff. "Everyone here is super friendly and easy to work with," says Jenny.
She makes sure residents know her ears are open: Jenny is always ready to listen. "Our residents have a wealth of lifetime experiences! I have found that they like nothing more than sharing those experiences with me. I love listening to their stories."
Jenny shares that in her time working at the Mulberry Campus, she has learned quite a few life lessons. She states, "I will always remember these two: whatever other people think of me is none of my business and growing old beats the alternative...."
Jenny is also in charge of scheduling resident activities. She mentions enjoying bringing in entertainment for the residents and getting their feedback. She also loves the classic favorite: Bingo.

Paula Petersen

LPNEmail: ppetersen@capricommunities.comPrior to joining the Mulberry Campus team in June 2017, Paula started at Hyland Campus in September 2016. She received her LPN credentials in 2000 and received her associates degree in healthcare administration in 2014. Along with working in assisted living communities for over 5 years, Paula has also held an LPN position in a clinic, long-term care communities, and as a substitute school nurse.
Paula knows how important it is to connect with residents every day. "I enjoy becoming a part of their family and learning everything I can about them. It's very helpful to know their stories and individual preferences when working with the residents," she said. "I learn something new about someone every day as I sit and chat with them!"
Paula, who was born and raised in Iowa, married her husband in 1990. They have two sons and a daughter-in-law. She enjoys antiquing/thrifting, crafting, and volunteering with the local FFA Alumni and the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. She is also an avid fan of Mickey Mouse!
