Carla Kostecki

Assistant Executive DirectorEmail: ckostecki@capricommunities.comCarla joined the team at Harbor Campus with a wealth of knowledge in August 2017. She worked as a CNA for two years before helping to open a hospice community where she gained most of her experience as a Clinical Assistant. "I was fortunate to work side-by-side with an RN for three years and given the opportunity to manage a 26 bed CBRF after five years of caregiving," said Carla. "I've worked as a manager in a CBRF community for the last 10 years."
Carla's favorite part about her job is being able to build lasting relationships with her residents and coworkers. She loves to listen to their stories and watch the excitement they have telling them. The common areas of Harbor Campus are always full with residents chatting and spending time together, so it's easy to socialize with long-time residents and meet new people. "I love the little things our team is able to do for our residents," Carla shared. "I took the time to show a resident how to use her Kindle. I see her multiple times a week and she lets me know how grateful she is and what a difference it made to her. Something that took only 20 minutes of my time made such an impact. It's an amazing feeling."
Carla enjoys volunteering her time and has done volunteer work for Casa Guadalupe Education Center helping elementary children with homework. She is also an advocate for people with developmental disabilities, making sure their needs were met in the community.
Carla is married and is a loving mother to four children, their youngest is 17. She enjoys golfing with her husband and spending time with her family. "After working for so long in the nursing and senior living fields, I realize time is precious so I have been trying to spend as much time with my parents as possible."

Carrie Preisler

Culinary ManagerEmail: cpreisler@capricommunities.comCarrie joined Harbor Campus as the Culinary Manager in July 2007. She loved cooking and baking with her grandmother when she was younger. After graduating high school, she went to work in an Italian restaurant for 10 years under a chef who had trained in Italy.
"Breakfast is my favorite meal to make as it's the fuel to start your day," said Carrie. "Meals are important not only for nutrition, but also for socialization and reminiscing."
Carrie was a girl scout leader for some time, helping her troop accomplish projects in the community. She loves spending time with her two children. Her son and daughter both work with children, her daughter working with children with disabilities. She also enjoys camping and fishing, two things she finds very relaxing.

Catherine Torcivia, RN BSN

Executive DirectorEmail: ctorcivia@capricommunities.comCatherine joined Harbor Campus in April 2004. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marquette University and has been a registered nurse for over 30 years.
Catherine is proud to be part of the close-knit Port Washington community and is proud of the hard work and dedication of Harbor Campus itself. "I am lucky to work with so many caring, wonderful people," she said. "I truly appreciate each and every one of them because without our team, we would not have the reputation for caring for our residents that we do."
Catherine and her husband married in 1986 and they have a teenage daughter. They also have two horses, two dogs, two cats, and "a bunch of rabbits!" Catherine and her family are involved in the Ozaukee County 4H and she volunteers as the president of the board of directors for an organization for homes for the disabled.

Pam Schlenvoght

Community Relations ManagerEmail: pschlenvogt@capricommunities.comPam joined the Harbor Campus team in April 2017. She has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration along with a Masters Degree in Business Administration, both from Cardinal Stritch University. Pam has been leading marketing teams and developing and implementing marketing plans for over 30 years.
"Helping seniors transition successfully into the next phase in their life is the most rewarding part of working at Harbor Campus," said Pam. "I work with prospective residents and their loved ones to help them make the right decision." She knows its important to work closely with families to make sure their loved one is able to live as independently as possible while maintaining safety and comfort. Taking a family on a tour of her community allows her to find out more about the needs, wants, and hobbies of a future resident along with showing them what Harbor Campus can provide for them. "Our friendly employees and residents make a point of welcoming visitors and telling them what a great place Harbor Campus is to live!"
When asked what makes her community stand out, Pam is quick to mention the wonderful employees and family base. "Over 30% of our employees have been working at Harbor Campus for over 10 years. Our community is built on a culture of trust because it has been the retirement community of choice in Port Washington for over 25 years."
In addition to her work at Harbor Campus, Pam is an adjunct professor at Cardinal Stritch University and Concordia University of Wisconsin where she teaches undergraduate and graduate classes in the College of Business. She is on the board of directors for numerous civic organizations in Ozaukee County and believes in giving back to the communities where she lives and works.

Stephanie Elliott

Resident Services ManagerEmail: selliott@capricommunities.comStephanie joined Harbor Campus as a CNA in mid-2000 and is now the Resident Services Manager. She has been in health care as a CNA since 1996.
She strives to build honest, trusting relationships with residents, their families, and the team at Harbor Campus. "I will always go above and beyond for my residents to make sure they are heard and well cared for," she said. "We have a few return family members who have had another relative live here in the past. It's always a comfort for them to see the community of care over the years."
Stephanie works closely with her team at Harbor Campus to make sure everything runs smoothly. "I have been blessed with the opportunity to work with some amazing, strong, dedicated Harbor Campus team members. We are all a family here and take care of each other like family."

Val focuses on the Gain and Retain Your Overall Wellness (GROW) program, Capri's lifestyle enrichment program, to help her plan activities and keep residents engaged every day. "The program's design stimulates self-determination, fosters a feeling of purpose, and promotes overall wellness," she said. "In addition to our activity programming already in place, I am confident that residents in our community can begin to welcome their aging experience with security and comfort. Our community can be empowered to generate energy and excitement to all entering and residing in our community."
She enjoys her coworkers and residents and values each one of them. She wants to instill a feeling of trust and wants to bring out the best in each person. "My residents and my team are the source of my passion!"
She grew up with her large family in a small farming community in northwest Wisconsin. "My family not only includes actual relatives, but also my community, Harbor Campus, and Capri families," said Val. She has two daughters, one currently in high school and the other attending the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, and enjoys spending time with them and her fianceé with whom she takes motorcycle trips across the US.
